Cycle
& Style: The Creative and Custom Bike Competition features hand-made
bikes made by artistically and sustainably innovative individuals
in the Pacific Northwest. The bikes will be on display in the front
lobby of the Portland Expo Center during the Greener Homes and Garden
Expo and the public will be invited to vote on the one that they
view as:

Most
Artistic
Contemporary, conventional or just plain funky and fun,
these art bikes showcase individual cycling style with bikes
made from every medium including recycled materials, everyday
objects and more.

AND
|
Most
Sustainably Innovative
Framing the inspiration to transportation alternatives
these bicycles serve as the model to environmental ingenuity.
Discover bikes in which performance has a purpose and craftsmanship
can serve a cause. Sustainable made bikes, Prototypes, individual
creations or manufactured models are just some of the examples.

Call for Entries --
Enter
to win hundreds of dollars in cash and prizes.
Two
grand prize winners will be selected by the public during the Greener
Homes and Garden Expo: One for the most artistic and
another for the most sustainably innovative. Each
grand prize award will equal 40% of the total entry fees collected.
Additional runner-up prizes may be awarded.
Handmade,
altered and modified bikes are welcome.
How to
Enter:
This is a juried competition. Entrants must submit a completed
application
form along with the entry fee by May 1, 2008 to the Redirect
Guide via mail (Creative and Custom Bike Competition, PO Box 14484,
Portland, OR, 97293) or via fax (503-961-9981). Entrants may submit
up to two applications. Entries selected to compete will be determined
and entrants notified shortly thereafter. Application fees will
only be processed for entries that have been selected to compete.
