Rules and Regulations

By submitting
an entry to this competition, Entrants agree to the following:
- JURIED COMPETITION.
Entrants acknowledge that this is a juried competition and not
all applications will be entered into the competition. The decision
on whether an entrant will be entered into the Competition will
be made solely at the discretion of ReDirect, Inc. ("event
organizer"). Jury
selection will be made on or around May 5, 2008. Upon selection,
all entrants will be notified accordingly. Payment by entrants
selected for competition will be immediately processed.
All decisions
are final.

HOW
TO ENTER. Entrants must submit a completed application form
by May 1, 2008 to the Redirect Guide via mail (Creative and
Custom Bike Competition, PO Box 14484, Portland, OR, 97293)
or via fax (503-961-9981). Incomplete applications will be
automatically disqualified. Entrants may submit up to two
applications.

ENTRY
FEES. Applications must include a check made payable to "ReDirect,
Inc." or a credit card to cover the cost of the entry
fee. Payment fees will not be processed until entrants have
been selected to enter into the competition.

DISQUALIFICATION.
The event organizer may at any time and at its sole discretion
disqualify and remove from competition any entry for any
or no reason including, but not limited to, non-payment
of entry fees, rule violations, fraudulent activity, or
situations that risk the health and safety of others. All
decision will be final.

COMPETITION
HOURS. Entrants selected for competition must bring their
bicycles to the Portland Expo Center on May 16, 2008 between
12 noon and 7 PM. Trailers used to transport the bike cannot
be stored at the Portland Expo Center. Bicycles must remain
on show site through 4PM on May 18, 2008. All bicycles must
be removed by 8 PM on May 18, 2008. Any Bikes left at the
Expo Center after May 18th dates will be charged a $20.00
a day storage fee. Additional details will be provided to
entrants.

The
competition will occur during the show hours of the Greener
Homes and Garden Expo. Bikes will be on display indoors in
public space.

JUDGING.
Voting will be done by attendees. Attendees will be asked
to vote on the entry that they feel is "Most Artistic"
and "Most Sustainably Innovative". Attendees will
only be allowed to vote once. The Event Organizer may disqualify
any vote if it determines for any reason or no reason that
fraudulent activity has occurred. The decision to disqualify
a vote is final.

PRIZES.
Two grand prizes will be awarded. The entrant voted "Most
Artistic" and the entrant voted "Most Sustainably
Innovative". Each grand prize award will be equal to
40% of the total entry fees collected. Additional runner-up
prizes may be awarded. Winners will be solely responsible
for the reporting and payment of any taxes on prize. ReDirect,
Inc. reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater
value at any time. Winner may waive his or her right to receive
prize. Prize is not assignable, not transferable, and not
substitutable. No warranties are made with respect to prize.

COSTS.
Entrants are solely responsible for all costs and logistics
associated with designing, building, and delivering the bicycle(s)
to/from the Portland Expo Center.
- INDEMNIFICATION.
While the competition area will be staffed during show hours and
all bicycles will be stored in a secure area at all other times,
Entrants release ReDirect, Inc., the Portland Expo Center and
any other involved party, its respective directors, officers,
employees, representatives, partners and agents, from any liability
whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages
of any kind, including but not limited to any loss, theft, or
any physical damage arising out of or in connection with the Competition.
- RULE CHANGES.
CONTEST RULES MAY BE CHANGED AND POSTED AT WWW.GREENERHOMESANDGARDENS.COM
FROM TIME TO TIME. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT TO
REGULARLY CHECK CURRENT CONTEST RULES. The posted rules supersede
all other previously published rules.
- WINNER NOTIFICATION.
Entrants with the most votes in each category will be notified
on or around May 20, 2008.
- PUBLICITY.
Winners agree to allow ReDirect, Inc. to publicize your name and
picture. Apart from the prize associated with being selected as
a winner, ReDirect, Inc. shall not be obligated to compensate
you in any way for such publicity.

ENTRY
(BICYCLE) REQUIREMENTS. Entries:

May
be built from scratch or adapted from existing bicycles.

Must
be no bigger than 4' wide x 8' long x 6' tall.

May
not display or broadcast any message.

May
not display any signage other than that provided by the Event
Organizer.

May
not contain any hazardous materials, live organisms (flora
or fauna), edible or perishable items, or any fuel. Event
organizer reserves the right to remove and disqualify any
entry that is deemed dangerous or potential harmful. All decisions
are final.

Must
be operational. An individual weighing no more than 250 pounts
must be able to ride the bicycle around the parking lot of
the Portland Expo Center.

Must
be non-motorized and be 100% human powered. Entries with external
power sources will be disqualified.
